Additional information

SURFACE PREPARATION:

A test area should
be processed before beginning the overall project.
Remove any existing graffiti, dust or other surface
contaminates prior to applying Tag Zap® Graffiti
Barrier. (See Tag Tag Zap® Graffiti Remover Gel
product specification sheet and label for removal
procedures.)
NOTE: To conceal shadows or color imperfections in
the substrate, it may be necessary to tint the Tag Zap®
Graffiti Barrier coating. Generally, no more than six
(6) ounces of universal colorant per one (1) gallon of
Tag Zap® Graffiti Barrier is recommended. For best
results, remove graffiti from surfaces protected with
Tag Zap® Graffiti Barrier within 24 to 48 hours of
the initial tagging. Failure to promptly remove the
graffiti may result in permanent penetration of the
Tag Zap® Graffiti Barrier. Temperature must be
50°F and rising when applying. Colder temperatures
or temperatures below freezing may produce a cloudy
film. User shall determine the suitability of the product
for his intended use and assumes all risk and liability
whatsoever in connection therewith.

APPLICATION:

1. Apply Tag Zap® Graffiti Barrier to
surface with a brush, roller or an airless paint sprayer.
Immediately smooth the product out evenly over the
surface with soft brush or sponge applicator.
NOTE: Do not apply if rain is forecasted within twelve
(12) hours.
RECOMMENDED GRAFFITI REMOVAL METHODS
DETERGENT & WATER REMOVAL METHOD: (recommended
for surfaces that have been treated with Tag Zap®
Graffiti Barrier): Scrub graffiti with a detergent and
water soaked scouring pad, synthetic steel wool or
soft wire brush in a circular motion. If the Detergent
& Water Removal Method is Successful, reapply one
(1) coat of Tag Zap® Graffiti Barrier to the affected
area after each graffiti removal procedure. (Apply
two coats to porous surfaces.) If graffiti remains on
the surface, follow the Tag Zap® Liquid Graffiti
Removal method described below.
TAG ZAP® GRAFFITI REMOVAL METHOD: (Recommended
for porous, textured or painted surfaces or surfaces
protected with Tag Zap® Graffiti Barrier) 1.
Apply Tag Zap® Liquid Graffiti Remover to the
surface with a stiff bristle brush. Apply the product
in a circular motion for ten (10) seconds to an area
twelve (12) linear inches. Avoid over-saturation of the
surface. 2. As the graffiti loosens from the surface,
immediately rinse with water. An immediate water
rinse is necessary to stop the action of the remover
to avoid removing the Tag Zap® Graffiti Barrier or
defacing the surface. (See Tag Zap® Liquid Graffiti
Remover label and product specification sheet for
removal procedures.)
AFTER THE TAG ZAP® LIQUID GRAFFITI REMOVAL METHOD:
If the Tag Zap® Graffiti Barrier was removed during
the graffiti removal process, reapply one (1) coat of
Tag Zap® Graffiti Barrier to the cleaned, graffitifree
surface. Reapplication will protect the surface
against future graffiti. (Apply two coats to porous
surfaces.)
DRY TIME: Dries to the touch in minutes. Total cure
time is 24 hours.
CLEAN UP: Before the coating dries, immediately
water flush sidewalks, blacktop, asphalt, equipment
and all adjacent surfaces not intended for treatment.
MAINTENANCE: Do not wash the treated surfaces with
any high pH soaps or caustics. Use only Tag Zap®
Graffiti Removers to clean the surface. Tag Zap®
Graffiti Barrier should be reapplied approximately
every five (5) to seven (7) years.
