Description

600 & 600B New Masonry Brick Wash Detergents are economical cleaners for new masonry installations. They are designed to remove excess grout and clean mortar splatter and staining which occur in new construction. Recommended for use on light colored buff, tan, or pink, glazed brick, tile, stone, exposed aggregate – ideal for all types of masonry construction.

600 & 600B New Masonry Brick Wash Detergent contain metal inhibitors to control metallic staining. 600 & 600B New Masonry Brick Wash Detergent will not yellow or bleach natural or colored mortar joints when used in accordance with directions. 600 New Masonry Brick Wash Detergent is used for lightly soiled jobs. 600B New Masonry Brick Wash Detergent is a concentrate used for heavily soiled jobs.

Limitations: allowing smears and excess mortar or grout to remain on the surface for a long period of time will result in a more difficult cleaning job which may produce undesirable results. (See 600 Pre-Thickened Efflorescence & Lime Dissolver instructions.)

SURFACE PREPARATION:	A test area should be processed on each type of surface before beginning overall cleaning to determine precise procedures necessary. Test recommended strength on small area of building. Allow test areas to dry thoroughly (3-7 days) before determining results. Adjust strength based on tests. User shall determine the suitability of the product for its intended use and assumes all risk and liability whatsoever in connection therewith. NOTE: Cleaning within 2 to 4 weeks of new masonry installation is most effective.
APPLICATION:	1. Apply with an acid resistant brush or Plastic Tank Hand Pump Sprayer. Do not use airless or metal sprayers. 2. Dilute 600 or 600B New Masonry Brick Wash Detergent with water at the ratio determined by dilution tests. Use polyethylene or rubber bucket. 3. Pre-wet a large portion of the masonry surface to be cleaned. When working from staging, keep all lower areas “surface wet” to prevent runoff streaks. Also keep surface rinsed free of cleaning residue. 4. Allow 600 or 600B New Masonry Brick Wash Detergent to remain on the surface for 2 to 3 minutes. Do not allow 600 or 600B New Masonry Brick Wash Detergent to dry into masonry which may cause staining. Scrape off excess mortar and reapply 600 or 600B New Masonry Brick Wash Detergent. 5. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water, brushing the area as the rinse water is applied. For best results use a high pressure water rinse at 400 psi with 4 gallons per minute.
