Hydro Seal 100™ and 200™

Breathing water repellents blended in a proprietary formulation of complex salines and stearates.
Contains additional micro-solids that migrate inward to fill hairline cracks, thus preventing possible water damage from freeze/thaw expansion.
Effective in efflorescence control, spalling, salt erosion and staining while allowing the surface to transmit vapor.
Apply to all types of interior and exterior masonry, concrete, brick, tile, stucco, terra cotta and granite.

COVERAGE: 100 to 200 sq. ft./gal., depending on porosity of surface.

Description

The Hydro Seal™ formulas represent research and service in protecting buildings since 1970. Hydro Seal™ formulas are breathing types of water sealers blended in a proprietary formulation of complex silanes and stearates. Hydro Seal™ formulas react with the surface to create a highly hydrophobic surface. The additional microsolids in Hydro Seal™ migrate inward to fill hairline cracks, thus preventing possible water damage from freeze/thaw expansion. Hydro Seal™ formulas are also effective in efflorescence control, spalling, salt erosion and staining while allowing the surface to transmit vapor.

BASIC USE: Hydro Seal™ formulas are applied to all types of interior and exterior masonry, concrete, brick, tile, stucco, terra cotta and granite. Use Hydro Seal 100™ on dense substrates; tile, polished marble, etc. Use Hydro Seal 200™ on porous substrates; soft cream brick, red vermillion, historical limestone, parking decks, porous concrete, etc.

SURFACE PREPARATION:	A test area should be performed on all elevations prior to beginning overall project to determine precise procedures necessary for proper sealing and to ensure compatibility with the surface. User shall determine the suitability of the product for its intended use and assume all risk and liability whatsoever in connection therewith. Surface should be clean and free from dust, dirt, oil, grease and any previous coating. Remove all loose mortar and repair all cracks over 1/16”. If efflorescence is present, remove with 600B New Masonry Brick Wash. Masonry repairs such as tuck-pointing should be made prior to application and allowed to cure for 14 days. NOTE: Test for color compatibility before applying.
APPLICATION:	APPLICATION: Both air and surface temperature must be 45°F and rising. Surface must be thoroughly dry as Hydro Seal™ does not penetrate wet or damp surfaces. 1. Mix well before using. 2. Apply with a brush or low pressure HVLP sprayer. (45 P.S.I. is sufficient pressure to spray.) 3. Horizontal surfaces: Saturate well, after 15 minutes remove excess Hydro Seal™ by redistributing to a dry area. Always back brush if over saturation occurs. 4. Vertical surfaces: Hydro Seal™ should be applied to saturation with an average 12 inch rundown. On porous surfaces, apply two wet on wet coats. On dense or polished surfaces, apply a single, saturating coat. DRY TIME: 2-4 hours. CLEAN UP: Mineral spirits.
